Day 1. Tuesday 18 July. Arrival (Overnight)

Arrival at Ljubljana Airport. Transport to Ljubljana City and luggage left on the bus. Bus drive to the city. Later arrivals have option to take shuttle. Short walk to the heart of the city and get together at Prešeren Square at 14.00h. Ljubljana sightseeing by foot (1 hour) + River Boat Cruise (1 hour). Those that need to take a break can enjoy themselves at the Coffee Bar of Grand Hotel Union. Departure of ALL arrivals at 17.00h to Nova Gorica. Check-in and overnight at Hotel Perla. Dinner at the Hotel Restaurant.

Day 2. Wednesday 19 July (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Overnight)

After breakfast at 8.40h, we drive to the Dobrovo Administrative Centre of Goriška Brda where we start our second day by visiting the Medot Sparkling Winery, top-class sparkling wine producer with its famous Epernay Champagne. Specialist Pierre-Yves Bournérias has been producing some of Slovenia's best and highly internationally awarded sparkling wines for over 20 years. After tasting of the best bubblies we continue our tour at 11.00h and visit the Castel Bagueri Cellar where we taste the best wines of the Goriška Brda Winery, Slovenia's largest wine producer. From 13.30h to 15.00h we stop at Villa Vipolže for a light lunch and enjoy Goriška Brda's ethnic delights. Reception and wine tasting of selected wines OEVE Members of Goriška Brda. At 15.30h afternoon visit of famous Marijan Simčič Winery and tasting of his wine delights. At 17.00h we visit and taste spectacular wine at the MOVIA Winery (The World SLO No.1). At 19.30h a Slow Food Dinner at the Pikol Lake Discrit Restaurant, the most famous Slovenian fish restaurant, Michelin Candidate, situated by the lake and in the embrace of trees, also a renown Silveri sparkling wine producer. Overnight at Hotel Perla in Nova Gorica.

Day 3. Thursday 20 July - (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Overnight)

After breakfast at 8.30h, drive through Nova Gorica, the City of Roses and the Administrative Centre of the Primorska Region. nova Gorica is a new city built after the 2nd World War linked to Gorizia on the Italian side. At 10.00h we visit the Tombs of The Last French Bourbon Emperors in Kostanjevica Monastery in Nova Gorica. After the French Revolution, the Emperors had moved to, the then known, Austrian Gorizia in Italy, where they rest in their tombs at the Kostanjevica Monastery on Slovenian side. After this, we continue our drive and arrive at the Batič Estate Winery in Šempas at 10.30h for the tasting of their famous wines. At 12.00 we depart for Renaissance Castel of Zemono, Counts Lanthieri Summer Residence, now a Michelin-Star Restaurant. We visit the Memorial of Battle for Christianity, the battle that introduced Christianity to Europe, where Christian Roman Emperor Flavius Theodosius, on 5 and 6 September 394 defeated Roman's Anti-Emperor Eugenius and victoriously ended the long civil war for Christianity. Enjoy a welcome drink with some finger food and sparkling Zelen and the tasting of Vipava Valley wine delights of famous wine producers, Members of European Wine Knights Order (ERVV). At 14.00h depart for the ancient town of Štanjel in the heart of the Slovenian Karst, one of the most beautiful places in Slovenia. Short stop at the ancient Vipava Square. At 14.30h we stop for lunch at the Castle Restaurant, tasting the wine performance of ERVV Karst Members as a selection of whites and reds, as well as the still sparkling Teran. After a sightseeing tour of Štanjel, its beautiful village boasting stony architecture including Villa Fabiani, we continue and stop for dinner at Grahor Restaurant in the Dane Village. After dinner we drive to Portorož, the most famous touristic spot on the Slovenian Coast. Overnight at Grand Hotel Portorož.

Day 4. Friday 21 July (Breakfast, Lunch, Overnight)

After breakfast at Grand Hotel Palace, enjoy a warm welcome from representatives of Slovenian Wine Knights and take part in a short meeting over morning coffee. Departure for the Slovenian Coast and the town of Izola. Embark onto a boat and take a coastal sailing trip bypassing the cities of Koper, Izola, Piran, Portorož. Enjoy a snack on board the boat / or in case of bad weather visit the Vino Koper Winery and enjoy their rich offer. Departure for the settlement of Marezige in the hinterland and lunch at the renowned Rodica Winery with wine-tasting of their and ZSRVV members' selected wines. This is an opportunity to present an honorary diploma to previous F.I.C.B. representative Lojze Filipič. Dinner and wine delights at the Rodica Winery. After Dinner departure for and overnight at Grand Hotel Portorož.

Day 5. Friday 21 July (Breakfast, Lunch, Overnight

After breakfast at Grand Hotel Palace departure by bus to Ljubljana and Ljubljana Airport.

Any cancellation must be confirmed in writing by the person who made the original booking.

Any costs incurred to collect or refund monies owed will be the sole financial responsibility of the registrant. In case of force majeure, travel restrictions by WHO or the respective country: full refund minus EUR 100, per person, processing fee.
